BEAR'S HUMP
The Bear's Hump hike climbs to a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the village and lakes of the park.
One of the highlights of a stay in Waterton Lakes National Park is the Bear's Hump hike (2.8 kilometres long), which starts at the Visitor Centre and climbs to a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the village and the park's lakes. This is a breathtaking view of the park's mountains and the blue-green lakes at their base. The picnic from the lookout will be memorable. Please note that the excursion can be quite difficult, the hike represents the equivalent of 60 floors to climb.
