THE FORT MUSEUM OF THE NWMP & FIRST NATIONS INTERPRETIVE CENTRE
A provincial park with exhibits recounting the lives of the pioneers and the Kainah and Peigan Nations of the plains.
Built by the Mounties in 1874 to combat the liquor trade at Fort Wooh-Up (Lethbridge). The present fort, a provincial park, is a replica dating from the late 1950s and is, in fact, only a wooden building. However, there is an exhibit on the lives of the pioneers and the Kainah and Peigan nations of the Plains. A police horse show is held 4 times a day in the summer (two shows in the morning, two in the afternoon). One of southern Alberta's premier attractions with nearly 9,000 artifacts.
