An annual extravagance since 1887. This "stampede", the second largest rodeo in Alberta (after Calgary), takes place during the last week of July. Western dances, parades, night shows, equestrian performances, pancake lunches, competitions and local art exhibitions, the event provides a full week of entertainment of all kinds. Also go for the big country party on Saturday night to fully experience the cowboy spirit.
