This amphitheater, inaugurated in 2016, hosts some of Edmonton's major concerts and shows. But it is also the home of the Oilers field hockey team, which plays in the national league, replacing the old Rexall Hall to host games in better conditions. The statue of Wayne Gretzky, captain of the Edmonton team from 1978 to 1988 and best player of all time, is erected there, lifting the 1988 Stanley Cup. This statue stood in front of Rexall Hall, and followed the movement to Rogers Place.
