Brewery-restaurant offering a delicious meal and wine at reasonable prices.
In Deauville, there are many restaurants to choose from. The city is full of brasseries and restaurants, many of which have made the sole meunière a queen at an exorbitant price. One Sunday in autumn, at tea time and when others are already no longer serving, we entered (there were two of us) this brasserie at the corner of Place Morny, after having walked around the neighbourhood many times, undecided about our culinary whims, as if caught up in the suggestions of the day: prawn tartare with combava, pike-perch fillet, buttered cabbage, red butter. The surprise came while eating, we took the time to appreciate and taste. The tasty dish and the cheerful service made us forget about the future bill which, in the end, resulted in a reasonable double-digit price (without coffee but including a glass of wine each). Now, it’s like everywhere else: avoid rush hour and summer rush.
