Imposing, superb listed residence, far from the seafront, symbolising Deauville in the Belle Époque.

Listed as a Monument Historique and a symbol of Belle Epoque Deauville, this imposing residence was commissioned by Baron Henri de Rothschild (1872-1947). Its picturesque appearance is accentuated by the profusion of architectural elements that enliven the elevations and roof projections, adorned with finials. A model of elegance! Exceptionally, the villa has retained its period furnishings (knick-knacks, family portraits, paintings of horses). Its most recent owner was the American newspaper publisher Ralph Beaver Strassburger, after whom it was named.

Gaëlle a su garder tout le monde en haleine malgré un froid polaire , 30 minutes d’histoire à l’extérieur )On sent la passionnée de cette magnifique Villa chargée d’histoire . Bravo

Marqué ouvert dans Google. On essaie d'appeler : pas de réponse. On essaie d'y aller : grille fermée, pas d'indication d'horaire ou de visite. Ça a dû fermer définitivement et les horaires Google ne sont pas à jour

Sehr schöne Villa im Herzen einer wohlhabenden Gegend. Leider zu wenig geschichtliche Aufklärung. Das Internet bringt weitere, sehr interessante Fakten zum Vorschein, bedauerlicherweise nur auf französisch. Gerne mehr.
