Bicycle trail linking the towns of Canmore and Banff over the Bow River and valley, a great place to hike.

Built to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Banff National Park, the Legacy Trail (26 kilometres one way - 250 metres elevation gain) is a beautiful bike trail that connects the Town of Canmore to the Town of Banff passing breathtaking scenery on the Bow River and the valley. Hiking is also possible on this paved trail. The trailhead is located at the Travel Alberta Information Centre, where you can park. Shuttle buses are available to return by bus to the end of the hiking trail.
