11 km east of Jasper, along the Maligne River, the hostel offers only dormitory accommodation. One of four Hostelling International hostels near Jasper, it offers substantial discounts to its members. This is one of the "wilderness hostels" in the network, i.e. it is a rustic hostel located in the middle of nature. There are fewer services than in a city hostel, but there is still parking, lockers, a common kitchen and a barbecue. Several hiking trails start close to the hostel.
