18 m high falls accessible via the Icefield Parkway, consisting of the accessible Upper Falls and the smaller Lower Falls.

55 kilometres south of Jasper, Sunwapta Falls is accessible via the Icefield Parkway. These thundering 18-metre-high falls are divided into two: Upper Falls, which are very accessible, and Lower Falls, which are smaller and require a 4 km walk. The water for the falls comes from the Athabasca Glacier, which discharges a continuous stream of melted snow in the spring. Impressive! The falls offer a privileged view of the mountains in the background. Be careful not to skid on the trails, as the drizzle from the falls makes the ground slippery.

Une chute magnifique, célèbre pour son petit îlot qui sépare en deux le cours d'eau dans sa chute. La puissance de la rivière, turquoise, y est impressionnante. Facilement accessible, cette chute est un arrêt obligé.
