PYRAMID LAKE
Lake named after Pyramid Mountain with electric motorized boats allowed and water activities practiced in the vicinity.
The lake and the island owe their name to Mount Pyramid, at an altitude of 2,763 metres, which, in fact, is the focus of our attention here. Its pink and orange tones are a reaction of pyrite to the weather. Only electric motor boats are allowed on this lake. It is possible to rent canoes and boats on site. The area around the lake, which is very popular in summer for its water sports activities, is a migration territory for wolves. The lake empties into the Athabasca River through Pyramid Creek, which is 2 kilometres long.
