Beautiful valley accessible by the Maligne Lake Road leading to Medicine Lake and Maligne Lake.
About 10 kilometres from Jasper, the scenic Maligne Lake Road leads you into one of the most beautiful valleys in the park. This route follows the canyon of the same name, and leads to two of the most beautiful lakes in the area: Medicine Lake, where wildlife loves to spend time, and Maligne Lake. Maligne Lake can be pleasant in the summer, by kayak, or you can hike to it.
The Maligne Canyon is worth the detour, even if it is advisable to go there early in the morning in order to make the most of this magical place.
