CANYON MARBLE
The Marble Canyon Trail offers nice views of the raging river and the waterfall at its end.
Near the entrance to Vermillon Pass, an impressive torrent has cut a passage in the rock. The 3.2 km long Marble Canyon Trail offers beautiful views of the raging river and the waterfall at the end of the trail from several bridges over the narrow gorge. It is known as the Paint Pots, because here the iron in the water gives the river a curious orange colour. Before the arrival of Europeans, the Aboriginal people in the area considered this area to be sacred.
