EAST SOOKE REGIONAL PARK
The place to go for hiking and picnicking is in nearby Pacific Rim National Park in Sooke.
The East Sooke Regional Park (1,420 ha) is the place to go for hiking (50 km of trails) and picnicking. It is an appetizer of sorts for the famous West Coast Trail, located in nearby Pacific Rim National Park. The trail that takes you to the end of the park is 10 km long. Three sites in the park not to be missed: Ayland Farm, where the trail leads to a small, intimate beach, Anderson Cove (access point to the Mount Maguire Trail) and Pike Road, where at low tide you can discover the marine life deposited on the sand of its beach.
