Juan de Fuca Marine Trail. 47 km of wilderness trails along the coast of the island and provide a good overview of the West Coast Trail in nearby Pacific Rim National Park.

Botanical Beach. A real open-air botanical museum, Botanical Beach allows you to observe starfish, small fish and shellfish in its small rocky basins discovered at low tide.

Un magnifique trek qui constitue une bonne alternative au West Cost Trail car plus proche et plus facile d'accès de Victoria, et n'ayant pas besoin d'être réservé plus d'un an à l'avance. Le sentier longe la côte dans la forêt avec une succession de montées et descentes dans les racines, et des passages sur la plage. Le trek complet est plutôt réservé aux bons marcheurs mais plusieurs points d'accès permettent de faire des petites randonnées et d'avoir accès aux beaux panoramas. Le camping se fait sur les plages et il faut avoir payer au départ du trek 10 dollars canadiens par adulte et par nuit. Au mois d'août, les locaux disent qu'il y a beaucoup de brouillard tout au long du sentier, cachant l'exceptionnel vue. Un super souvenir !
