An unusual tree, a Douglas fir, the largest and tallest in the world at 74 meters high in Port Renfrew.

From Port Renfrew, Red Creek Fir is only a 45-minute drive away. You can also ask Port Renfrew residents how to get there for helpful pre-arrival advice. It's a 10-minute walk from the parking lot to the fir tree. This is the local star. A tree out of the ordinary: a Douglas fir (the largest and tallest in the world)! More than 1,000 years old, it is 74 metres high and 4.2 metres in diameter. On the trail to get there, you will also come across three giant cedars.
