Provincial park with some of the most beautiful unspoiled beaches east of Parksville in Oceanside.
This 348-hectare provincial park is home to the most beautiful unspoiled beaches east of Parksville. For the record, the park is named after a gold prospector, William Rath, who settled in the area with his wife and children in 1886. At high tide and in summer, swimming is pleasant because the sea level is low and the water is warmed by the sun during low tide. Many birds visit the area.
