A myriad of islands and islets protected by Pacific Rim National Park and owned by the Toquaht Nation.
In the middle of Barkley Sound, southeast of Ucluelet, lies a myriad of islands and islets known as the Broken Group Islands protected by Pacific Rim National Park. Accessible only by boat, mainly from Ucluelet (but also Port Alberni). The majority of these islands are still owned by the Toquaht Nation, which allows visitors a right of way and camping.
The islands are accessible by kayak from Secret Beach, northeast of the Tofino-Ucluelet-Port Alberni junction, unless you prefer to book through an agency.
