A former hardware store has become an institution in Dives-sur-Mer, offering homemade dishes from canaille to pampered fish.
An institution celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2024, the restaurant features lively table conversation, a smiling ballet of waiters and a decor in its original state. The dishes are sure to tantalise the taste buds: escargots du Pré d’Auge, pot-au-feu with marrow bone, caramelised pig shank with spices (12 hours cooking time), tripe casserole (Tripière d’or 2021-2022)... Fish, too, is pampered by chef Laurent Bellée, a passionate 23-year veteran of the restaurant. Just like his namesake, chef Laurent, in the dining room. Don’t forget to book!
