MEDIEVAL HALLS
Medieval market halls dating back over 600 years, to be visited on Saturday mornings, market day, with their diverse range of products.
The Halles de Dives-sur-Mer, an important trading centre, have been home to the market for over 600 years. The oldest part, to the north, dates from the 14th century, the southern part from the 15th century. There are no foundations, only the Ranville stone dice, supporting 66 oak pillars, sunk into the ground. Saturday mornings, market day, are a real step back in time. Here, you can stock up on farm-fresh produce from the Normandy region. It’s also an opportunity to meet new people, why not over a glass of cider? Just like the old days.
