Nan Sdins National Historic Site protecting models of funerary totem poles and house remains.
Located on the west coast of Anthony Island (south of the archipelago), the Haida village of SGang Gwaay is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The site is also designated as Nan Sdins National Historic Site because it protects beautiful models of funerary totem poles and remains of houses of the indigenous Haida people. It is a unique site commemorating their living culture, based on their relationship with the land and the sea.
