With seating for up to 54,500 people, it is the largest complex in Western Canada to host sporting and artistic events, inaugurated in 1983 to host Expo 86. The stadium has hosted major events such as the Madonna concert in 2008, the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Grey Cup football final. Official playing field for the British Columbia Lions (football) and the Vancouver Whitecaps (soccer). Guided tours are available on site.
