The Langara Golf Course is one of three city-run golf courses. It is located in the Oakridge neighborhood near the Langara-49th Avenue Skytrain station. Built in 1926 by the Canadian Pacific Railway before being redesigned by Canadian architect Thomas McBroom, it has a reputation as a challenging course (Par: 71; Rating: 68.2; Slope: 120). The contoured, tree-lined fairways are a big part of this as are the fast greens. Remember to book in advance.
