Chinatown that opens onto the Millennium Gate in Vancouver, the largest in Canada.
Canada's largest Chinatown, a testament to the Chinese working class presence of the time. It opens onto the Millennium Gate on Pender Street. This gate was built to promote community spirit and to attract tourists to the Chinatown area. It represents a link with the city's hypercentre. On its eastern side it says "Remember the past and look forward to the future".
