VANCOUVER MARITIME MUSEUM
A museum tracing the naval history of the city of Vancouver, including the Discovery and the Beaver, with guided tours available.
The museum traces the naval history of the city, including the Discovery, George Vancouver's ship. Perhaps most moving is the story of the steamer The Beaver, which ran aground in 1888 after 50 years of loyal service. There will also be beautiful models and a real ship over 30 metres long, the St. Roch, which patrolled the Arctic between 1928 and 1950. In 1954, he returned to Vancouver, where he has been enjoying his retirement ever since. Guided tours are offered.
