Located along Beach Avenue, Sunset Beach is, as its name suggests, an excellent spot to admire the sunsets over the ocean and English Bay. The sand is not very fine and the beach is often stormed on weekends, but it is very easy to get to and it is pleasant to walk along the boardwalk that runs along it towards Stanley Park. During the busy summer months, lifeguards are on hand to ensure the safety of everyone on the beach. In addition to swimming, you can play volleyball or surf.
