LESAGE PHARMACY
Pharmacy installed in a superb building built in 1901 by Georges Lesage, mayor, pharmacist, and art lover in Dover.
This superb building was built in 1901 by a certain Georges Lesage, mayor, pharmacist, and art lover, based on the plans of the architect François Rouvray, originally from Caen. Its huge entrance portal, its windows with supple lines, its glazed tiles, and its ironwork, made by Adolphe Marie, a craftsman from Creully, evoke the Art Nouveau style. Inside, the show is also at the rendezvous: a wrought iron balustrade, fireplace, counter, and tiles decorated with floral and vegetal motifs; one would almost forget that one came to buy aspirin!
