Founded in 1986, the museum preserves the rich historical and natural heritage of mountain life. A visit to the Whistler Museum is an ideal stop on a rainy day to learn all about Whistler, from its 19th century pioneers to the athletes of the 2010 Olympic Games. You will have the chance to have your picture taken holding the Olympic torch (a reproduction of course)! The museum staff also offers guided tours of Whistler Village daily in the summer (departing from the Visitor's Information Centre).
