180 km of trails from Sarah Point (Desolation Sound) to Saltery Bay. The Sunshine Coast Trail is Canada's longest refuge-to-refugee hiking trail and Powell River's main tourist attraction. It passes through a variety of landscapes, from rugged coastlines to beautiful old-growth forests and scenic mountain vistas. A variety of hikes are available to hikers: day hikes (Manzanita Bluff, Little Sliammon Lake, Appleton canyon) as well as multi-day routes (2 to 6 days) with overnight shelter accommodations.
