Very popular diving spot in Saltery Bay, south-east of the city, where you can discover a 2.7 m high bronze mermaid.
Saltery Bay Provincial Park, located southeast of the town of Powell, is a popular diving spot: in addition to killer whales and sea lions, divers will be able to admire a 2.7-metre high bronze mermaid at a depth of 20 metres. It is possible to camp on site at Mermaid Cove Campground from May 15 to September 15. 21 sites are open for booking, the others operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
