A local curiosity little known to tourists, this rock, which has been in equilibrium for about 9,000 years as a result of erosion, overlooks Lake Kamloops. After Savona, stop at the rest area which offers a beautiful view of the lake. As you walk back along the road, you will see the rock below. Called "Coyote Rock" by the First Nations of the region, this rock forms an interesting sculpture that marked the territory of the Shuswap people. It is also possible to get close to it by taking a quick and easy short hike.
