The Clearwater and Wells Gray Visitor Centre is located on Highway 5 at the entrance to Clearwater at the junction for the park. The park is open year-round, but the information centre is closed in the winter. You will find all the information you need for your stay on the website and on site. Bien visible depuis la route, le bâtiment en pierres et bois est typique. A coté se trouvent quelques tipis (tepee ou thipi) Indiens et la superbe reproduction d'un élan plus vrai que nature.
Alors qu'il est parfois difficile de trouver des interlocuteurs parlant Français dans les structures d'accueil touristiques en Colombie Britannique, ici une charmante jeune fille parlant un français très correct nous a donnée tous les renseignements voulus.
Le parc de Wells Gray regroupe plus de 250 Chutes d'eau. Comme avant toutes visites dans un parc de l'Ouest du Canada, un passage au Visitor Center est nécessaire pour prendre toutes les indications des visites touristiques mais aussi de sécurité car la vigilance s’impose dans ces endroits magnifiques mais parfois dangereux entre autre par la présence d'ours.
