This beautiful paddlewheel and steamboat is a surviving witness to a bygone era in Penticton.
A survivor of a bygone era, the magnificent paddlewheel steamer S.S. Sicamous crisscrossed Lake Okanagan from north to south from 1914 to 1937, carrying passengers, mail, fruit, medicine, etc. Today, the sternwheeler has been restored and has become the property of the City of Penticton. It is stranded on a beach on Lakeshore Drive and is open to visitors. The small museum on site will give you lots of interesting information.
