TOUCHSTONES NELSON: MUSEUM OF ART AND HISTORY
Small museum with collections of objects of the Ktunaxa aboriginal people and the Dukhobors, members of a Russian Christian sect.
This small museum was once a post office and the town hall of Nelson. Collections of artefacts from the Ktunaxa Aboriginal people and the Dukhobors, members of a Russian Christian sect established in the area in the late 19th century, are on display in the museum. Permanent and temporary exhibitions on local artists are represented and it is possible to buy their handicrafts in the shop. Lots of interesting information about the region!
