FORT STEELE HERITAGE TOWN
Fort Steele, 10 miles northeast of Cranbrook, offers street entertainment, indoor and outdoor plays, and a variety of other activities.
Sixteen kilometres northeast of Cranbrook, Fort Steele was declared a historic park in 1961 to preserve this open-air museum. After the railway ended the town of miners, the site was rebuilt and now lives on through several activities and events hosted by many costumed interpreters. Among the activities to see and do: street entertainment, outdoor and indoor theatre, sleigh rides, train rides, etc.
