35 kilometres west of Terrace, the small Shames Mountain ski resort, established in the 1990s, is known to receive tons of snow and relatively few visitors. It's a godsend for skiers looking for tranquility and powder. Rentals are available on site and some cafes and restaurants are open within the resort. 28 trails are spread out on the mountain so you can explore every nook and cranny of this family-friendly resort. The splendour of the surrounding nature is unique.
