DAVE'S LOBSTER

This local company, which operates three branches in the Maritimes (Charlottetown, Cavendish and Halifax), is a kind of quality fast-food restaurant offering a short menu of only sandwiches, almost always with lobster, and whose specialty is the lobster roll. A kind of seafood hot dog (also known in Quebec as a "guédille"), it's THE local specialty, and you'll find it in several restaurants. It's sourced locally from the fishermen of Covehead Harbour (north of the island). Also worth trying: lobster chips!
