The first transatlantic transmission station with wireless telegraphy exhibition in Glace Bay.
Did you know that the first transatlantic radio message left from here? It was sent in December 1902, using a metal antenna suspended from four giant wooden towers. The location, formerly away from Glace Bay, reduced the risk of electrical interference with the equipment. The site features an exhibition on wireless telegraphy and an interpretive trail leading to the first transmission station.
