The first transatlantic transmission station with wireless telegraphy exhibition in Glace Bay.
Did you know that the first transatlantic radio message left from here? It was sent in December 1902, using a metal antenna suspended from four giant wooden towers. The location, which was once off Glacve Bay, reduced the risk of electrical interference with the equipment. There is a wireless telegraphy exhibit on site as well as an interpretive trail to the first transmission station.
