CANADIAN MUSEUM OF IMMIGRATION AT PIER 21
Museum dedicated to the immigration of Pier 21 which welcomed immigrants between 1928 and 1971, their words are preserved there.
This emotionally-charged museum reflects the many waves of immigration that have shaped the country. Between 1928 and 1971, over a million immigrants, mostly from Europe, entered Canada through this building. Quai 21 has collected numerous testimonials from immigrants, past and present. Their words have been wonderfully preserved (reasons for leaving, harsh admission conditions of the time, how new arrivals felt on Canadian soil...).
