FORT INGALL
Fort dating from 1839 with buildings inside a wooden palisade, with exhibits recalling the life of the soldiers of the time.
Built following a border dispute between Canada and the United States in 1839, it sank into oblivion, and its remains were found during an archaeological dig in the late 1960s. Faithful reconstruction took place in the 1970s. Today, Fort Ingall comprises eight buildings set within a wooden palisade. Exhibitions and a guided tour provide a better understanding of soldiers' lives in the geopolitical context of the time. We love the animations and the characters in period costume.
