COATICOOK GORGE PARK
Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook, with many services, has walking trails and a night-time multimedia course.
A natural phenomenon created by river erosion, the Coaticook Gorge is 50 metres deep. On the Parc de la Gorge site, in addition to the covered bridge renovated according to 1887 principles (following a flood in 1998), a 169-metre footbridge is suspended in the void. This is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America, and one of the longest in the world. Also worth seeing: observation tower, waterfall, cascades... Beware: in season, the area can quickly become overrun with tourists. Note that there is a second entrance to the park, at the campground (400, rue Saint-Marc).
Activities: hiking trails (open summer and winter), suspension bridge, mountain biking (fatbike in winter), farmhouse, mountain snowshoeing, ice skating, snow scooter, dog sledding, ice climbing, outdoor escape game, snowmobile relay and ATV.
Lodging: Overnight camping (183 serviced and unserviced sites), IMAGO ready-to-camp tents, cabins and shelters (some accommodations not available in winter). Numerous on-site services.
Foresta Lumina: since its creation by Moment Factory, this site has never been empty. This multimedia nocturnal experience, the first of its kind in Quebec, is enhanced every year to give visitors a new experience. The site is open evenings from mid-June to mid-October. Booking your tickets in advance will not be a luxury!
