THE BREAD MUSEUM
An original place where you can see the tools that were still used not so long ago for growing and harvesting cereals.
The Musée du Pain tells the story of bread-making. It began around 8,000 years ago, and the story of the crossbreeding of herbaceous stalks, the discovery of sourdough and the first bread-making techniques is retraced here. The museum also displays the tools still in use not so long ago for growing and harvesting cereals, and proudly recalls that a village resident invented the first wheat threshing machine! An old-fashioned bakery is reconstructed, with a range of paschal lamb molds.
