THE MILLS OF ISLE-AUX-COUDRES
Water mill and windmill to attend the wheat and buckwheat milling demonstration at Isle-aux-Coudres.
This unique site brings together in one place a water mill (1825) and a wind mill (1836), both functional, as well as the miller's house. You can watch a demonstration of wheat and buckwheat milling. The site has a multifunctional reception building with an exhibition on the island's habits and customs through popular art and an exhibition in tribute to Pierre Perrault. Get freshly ground flour from the shop on real stone millstones!
