Memorial dedicated to the daily lives of people in times of armed conflict in Falaise
Housed in the former courthouse since 2016, this is one of the few museums dedicated to the civilian victims of the Second World War. It incorporates the ruins of a house destroyed during bombing raids in the summer of 1944. Count on 1h30 (and a lot of reading, perhaps a little too much) to discover the daily life of these men, women and children who, for six years, lived through the Occupation, the exodus, the restrictions, the bombings and then the Liberation. Poignant!
