These English-style gardens, covering 17 hectares, benefit from an exceptional microclimate. They include over 3,000 species of flowers and ornamental plants, some of which are extremely rare. The whole complex is made up of a number of separate gardens, featuring both annuals and perennials. Since 2000, the International Garden Festival has been held every year, showcasing avant-garde works from all over the world from late June to early October. To "taste the gardens", stop off at the boutique after your visit. Here you'll find a range of floral-flavored specialties prepared by chef Frédérick Boucher and his team, using plants from their horticultural collection, not to mention gift items (also available online). Better still, enjoy a meal directly on site at one of the estate's three restaurants: the buvette des Jardins (plates of local produce, natural wines, etc.), the Villa Estevan Lodge restaurant (menu inspired by their kitchen garden and local flavours, served in a listed house) or the café-bistro Le Bufton (meals on the go in a convivial setting). A small vegetable garden is also open to the public, and Jardins de Métis also offers a fine program of special events, including lectures, concerts, workshops, literary teas, musical picnics and exhibitions (permanent, temporary, vernissages).
