Matane River where you can fish for salmon in season, with an observation center at the dam and an exhibit on sport fishing for salmon.
The Matane River is the most famous fishing spot in the area. In the right season, salmon are hunted in the centre. Near City Hall, the Mathieu-d'Amours Dam fishway allows salmon to swim up the river (you can see them climbing behind the windows). The dam's observation centre also features an exhibit on salmon sport fishing, as well as on the dams and bridges of the Matane River.

Ce centre d'observation vous permettra d'observer les saumons en cours de migration ce qui est plutôt unique et spectaculaire. Un moment à ne pas rater.
