This Renaissance-style château houses a rich collection of period furniture, paintings, engravings and porcelain.
This Renaissance-style château, built by the Harcourt family and classified as a Historic Monument, has been passed down from generation to generation since the 13th century, right up to the d'Oilliamsons. Current owner, the Marquis d'Oilliamson evokes "a castle of the Loire lost in Normandy". Visitable by reservation, its roofs are vertiginously high (among the highest in France), and the west facade illustrates four different architectural styles. In addition, there are no less than 52 levels in the whole castle, a real labyrinth! The ground floor lounges house a rich collection of period furniture, paintings, engravings and porcelain. You can also visit the vast 13th and 16th century seigneurial chapel. For the guided tour, allow at least three-quarters of an hour. Finally... if it's an "ordinary" visit! Because if it is the master of the place who leads the dance, the visit takes an even more exciting turn, full of anecdotes, small and big stories of the place. And one quickly loses the notion of time... Several themes of visits are proposed: by candlelight, for children or in the form of an escape game. The choice is yours!
Good to know, to get a taste of castle life, it is possible to stay on site, in the park of the castle, in the old saddlery or the guard's house, but beware, reservations with the Gîtes de France must be made well in advance, noblesse oblige!

Le point négatif pour nous et que les personnes à l'accueil lorsque nous avons fait le retour n'avaient pas les réponses ou explications lorsque nous avons posés des questions....
