A perfect address to live the experience of unusual accommodation. Its famous Oka cheese, on sale on site, is a must!

The Cistercian Abbey of Oka, founded by French monks in the late ^19th century, nestles in the woods above Lac des Deux-Montagnes. Now a veritable tourist attraction, it now serves as an inn, with some 50 rooms that once housed the Cistercian Fathers. On site, you'll find a bistro offering dishes based on local flavors, as well as a boutique selling the famous Oka cheese (try the poutine made with this cheese), local and artisan products, ice cream and more.

I was there for a wedding but I did not stay over night. The venue itself is very beautiful. The service is also very good. I enjoyed the menu as well.
