HÔTEL LE MANOIR
Baie-Comeau hotel prized for its rooms and bistro terrace overlooking the St. Lawrence, with beach access.
A characterful manor house built in 1967, this beautiful hotel is distinguished by its distinctive cachet and elegant decor. The view of the St. Lawrence River from many rooms and the bistro-terrace is simply magnificent. On-site services include La Marée Haute bistro/terrace, gym, beach access and free parking. Definitely our best address in Baie-Comeau, and even more so since the major renovations that brought the rooms and common areas up to date.

J'ai bien aimé l'endroit.
We were disappointed.
The property is tired and in need of serious updating unless vintage is your thing. The lobby/ front desk is unappealing though the staff were kind.
We had the misfortune of checking in as 400 attendees descended on the hotel for an evening event. It was pure chaos for parking, a congested reception area not to mention that the only evening dining option Bistro la Marée is literally 2 steps from the front desk.
The room itself was fine and spacious. Flooring was newish and the bed, pillows and linens very comfortable. The bathroom is serviceable but completely outdated and not on par with hotels in this price range.
We ate dinner at the Bistro La Marée which was very, very good (see google review).
There is a lovely well-appointed terrace which is only accessible (unfortunately) when the Bisto is open.
The exercise "room" is a curtained off section of the old dining/ ballroom which was just weird to access.
A section of the former dining room located on the lower level is now used for breakfast only (due to staffing shortages). It is unimpressive, set up like a school cafeteria, not at all elegant.
Unfortunately, accommodations in this area are limited so you're kind of stuck with this expensive lackluster option.
