POINTE-DES-MONTS LIGHTHOUSE
One of America's oldest lighthouses, Pointe-des-Monts is considered a major part of the country's maritime heritage.
Built in 1830, the Pointe-des-Monts lighthouse is one of the oldest in America. Classified by the Monuments historiques in 1964, it is now considered a major element of the country's maritime heritage. Seven floors illustrate themes such as the lives of the guards who worked there and their families, navigation and shipwrecks in the area. If you're not afraid of heights, climb to the watchtower where you can enjoy a 360° view of the St. Lawrence and the coast.
