We were in Trois Rivieres for our annual trip to visit my wife’s family and we decided to celebrate my birthday by going for a nice gourmet dinner at the restaurant. I had never been here but my wife had been years ago when she lived in the area. It turned out to be an excellent choice as we both thoroughly enjoyed the service, food and wine. My wife had made 7pm reservations and driving here in our first and only snowfall was easy with our rental car. The parking was easy just in front of the restaurant which overlooks the water but since it was dark I can’t comment on the view from our window seat in the restaurant but my wife assures me it is a lovely view in daylight. We were seated immediately and ordered a nice bottle of Bourgogne premier cru which was tasty. The appetizers along with fresh baked bread were a great way to start our dining experience. My wife got the trout and I the filet mignon for the main course which were both prepared to perfection. The food was hot and very flavorful which was exactly what we wanted. We both commented we want to return to try the other main courses! I had the chocolate dessert and she had the Philadelphia cream cheese which were both very good. She had a tea and me a café au lait also both perfect. They even had a Happy Birthday wish to me in French in chocolate syrup on my plate which my wife obviously had informed them. This was a nice touch. And of course they spoke good English and French. It was not cheap but was exactly what we expected spending over $300 including tip and $120 bottle of my preferred wine. We wrapped up this very pleasant dining experience close to 10PM knowing we will return one day!

I ❤️ this place. Just there was no elevator so for me because of backache it was a little hard but doesn’t mean that I didn’t enjoy of river view.

I suspect in Summer it's lovely as.its literally right next to the lake. Sunsets were stunning and we had a lovely freestanding whirlpool bath in the bedroom as a lovely well sized bathroom with shower. A separate seating eating and TV watching area and a balcony outside.
The restaurant is usually booked up well ahead so best to reserve if you want to eat. Menu was alittle rich for us as Hubby has the taste buds of a toddler (do love him but his fussy eating habits drive me insane as a self confessed food snob). Also didn't get the chance to try out the spa which looked lovely but we were there for only a one night stopover.
No lifts, so if you struggle to get around, make sure you mention that when booking.
